Development Capital – Greenfield Windfarm

An early stage windpower developer approached Greenman Financial Advisors to assist in securing development capital for a greenfield windfarm project in Texas. After evaluating alternatives together, the client hired GFA to enter negotiations and secure a co-development partner. GFA prepared a financial deal proforma utilized in sizing the capital raise, selecting the co-developer, and allocating development profits amongst the partners under a valuation milestone concept. After working through the deal structuring, negotiations and document review process, the client successfully closed the deal for a multi-million dollar funding commitment from an experienced international wind developer. GFA continues to support the project developer as a financial liaison with the co-development partner including representation on the board, internal budgeting and capital funding efforts, and monitoring of tax and financial reporting.
